03 — Gingembre
Root scraped raw and eaten before it's had time to soften — sharp first, sweet a breath later. The one that arrives before you've decided you're ready.

05 — Elemi
Bark split open mid-summer, sap still running. Pine needle and cracked pepper caught in the same breath, never quite settling into one thing.

06 — Maté
Leaves dried and crushed to a fine green dust, roasted faintly at the edges. Bitter on contact, herbal underneath — the kind of green that keeps you alert rather than settled.
